Pioneer Truck Lines Ltd. is an Edmonton based, privately owned oilfield transportation Service Company. As a family business, we have grown from a modest single-truck operation, in 1987, to become a dynamic industry leader throughout Western and Northern Canada, and parts of the United States.

The company is focused on a specialized line of oilfield work that includes the following services: heavy equipment moving, complete camp moves, general oilfield hauling, pipeline hauling, pipe stringing and pipe stock piling.

With a 20-year track record of successful oil and gas projects under our belt, we have positioned ourselves to be a total-transportation-solution company. Our equipment haul fleet can move heavy pieces of all dimensions. Pioneer’s main yard and office is on our 30-acre property in Edmonton, Alberta. The company equipment list is comprised of a growing fleet of Tractors, Picker Trucks rated from 18 tons to 40 tons, Winch Trucks, Tandem Hiboy Trailers, Tridem Hiboy Trailers, 8-wheel to 40-wheel, Tri-Axle to 12 Axle Combination Low Beds, and Off-Road All-Terrain Track Equipment for every environment. We utilize the Industry’s latest technology to monitor our drivers and trucks. This ensures the highest standards of compliance to multi-jurisdictional regulations and safety codes.

While we consider ourselves leading edge in the development of our fleet, we also recognize that the people who make up Pioneer are our most valuable asset. To this end we maintain a core nucleus of long-standing key personnel in management, safety, administration, drivers, swampers, and mechanics, all of whom are focused upon meeting our customer's needs. We employ 60 full-time staff, which increases to more than 100 personnel during the peak work seasons. In addition to our own forces, we have also nurtured and maintain immediate access to a fleet of specialty lease haulers who contract with Pioneer on a regular seasonal basis. To consistently provide outstanding customer service, and maintain our high standards for safety, we are on call, 24 hours a day, 365 days of the year.

All Pioneer Field Supervisors are trained and certified in “Leadership for Safety Excellence”, by the Alberta Construction Safety Association. On the job site, all Workers are closely supervised by Field Foremen, who maintain constant communication with our customers and dispatchers. This ensures prompt, cost-effective execution of every project.

Pioneer is an enthusiastic company that is passionate about the principles of continuous improvement and total client satisfaction. We are proactive in the areas of fleet management and personal development. We believe strongly in the professional growth of our personnel and encourage advancement through on-going education.

We are proud to participate in the Partners in Injury Reduction Program (PIR), to have an accredited Health and Safety Program, and Certificate of Recognition. (COR #20021118-4358)

Most simply put, we are dedicated to providing on-time delivery of heavy equipment, well-site materials, rigs, portable camps, and materials of every description to the job. Our commitment is to professional service and the completion of every project quickly, safely, and cost effectively.
